A Greek cross raised in great slabs of stone laid dry, without mortar, with slightly stilted barrel vaults and horseshoe arches at the apse and the entrance. The four marble columns carrying the chancel arch, and their Corinthian capitals, come from the Roman baths of Bande. Most sources date it to the 7th century.
