Visigothic kingdom
San Pedro de la Nave
Today: El Campillo (Zamora), Spain
- Years
- 680–711
One of the last works of Visigothic art, raised between 680 and 711 on the banks of the Esla, in the years before the Muslim conquest. The Ricobayo reservoir would have put it under water, so between 1930 and 1932 it was moved stone by stone to El Campillo, where it can be visited. What a visitor sees is therefore not where it was built.
