Its dating is disputed: the oldest elements are attributed to the 7th century, but the horseshoe arch of the doorway seems rather to place it in the pre-Romanesque or post-Visigothic. There remain the walls of the single nave, the side door to the south and an apse closed with a barrel vault, raised in great granite ashlars that almost certainly come from nearby Roman sites, among them the citania of Nertobriga.
