Standing

All that is left of the Visigothic cathedral of Palencia, built in the second half of the 7th century under Wamba to hold the remains of the martyr Saint Antoninus, which he himself brought from Narbonne in 672 or 673. It is a long room of three by eleven metres over transverse horseshoe arches, with reused columns and capitals. A visitor goes down to it from behind the choir of the Gothic cathedral.
