On the top of the hill a Visigothic religious and palatial complex has been excavated: a basilica of three aisles divided by columns, with an apse at the east end and a tripartite baptistery at the west, and against its north side a monumental building that appears to be the residence and administrative seat of the bishopric. A cemetery reserved for the elite lay around it. It has been dug since 1988 and the site can be visited.
