The underground route of the city history museum, beneath the plaça del Rei, crosses Roman and late antique Barcino and ends at the early Christian excavations of the first cathedral: the stumps of its white marble columns, the baptistery and the remains of a church of the 6th century. The way in is through the Casa Padellàs.
