Site or museum

The site at the centre of Valentia, on what was the Roman square of Decimus Junius Brutus, with buildings of the republican colony and of the empire. In its ground were found the mutilated skeletons that bear witness to Pompey's executions after the town fell in 75 BCE. The remains came to light in 1985, were dug until 2005 and opened as a museum in 2007.
