The circus for the chariot races, built in the 1st century under Augustus or Tiberius, outside the medieval town. It was abandoned in Visigothic times and stripped for centuries of the granite ashlar that faced its opus caementicium. The Arabs used it as a cemetery, and those medieval traces are still in plain sight. Work in 2011 and 2012 consolidated the remains and laid out the archaeological park it is visited as today.
