The aqueduct that brings water from the sierra, built at the start of the 2nd century and held to be the greatest work of Roman civil engineering in Spain. The arcade crosses the city without mortar, held up by the weight of its granite blocks alone. It has been a World Heritage Site since 1985, together with the old town, and is among the best preserved Roman monuments in the peninsula.
