The site of the city the consul Quintus Caecilius Metellus founded between 123 and 121 BCE, on the isthmus between the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença. A visitor walks the forum with its temples and shops, the theatre cut into the rock to the south and the house quarter of La Portella, with its courtyards and cisterns.
