The smaller of the two public baths of Italica, from the time of Trajan and strengthened under Hadrian, with some fifteen hundred square metres on view. Here people bathed, took massages, exercised and met. The greater baths, of Hadrian's time, covered thirty-two thousand square metres at the western end of the city.
