The amphitheatre Hadrian raised north of Italica, between the years 117 and 138, holding twenty-five thousand and measuring 160 by 124 metres. It had three tiers of seating and, under the wooden floor of the arena, a service pit for the gladiator and beast fights. It can be walked all the way round inside the archaeological ensemble.
