The most important Roman site surviving from Hispalis, under the Metropol Parasol in the plaza de la Encarnación, with houses and mosaics of the 1st to the 6th century. Among them are the Casa Romana, the Casa de la Ninfa and the Casa de Baco, the three-metre mural of the Patio del Océano and the medusa mosaic of the Casa de la Columna. It was found in the 1990s during digging for a car park and opened as a museum in 2011.
