The house of Maternus, a square of some forty metres a side with a porch, a round entrance hall, a peristyle and a great hexagonal reception room, paved with mosaics of the first order. A few metres away stand a mausoleum and a hall of state of about the year 400, with four-metre columns cut in quarries in Greece and Turkey and marbles of thirty-nine different kinds. The park has been open since 2003 while the digging goes on.
