What remains
Standing

What is left of the wall that ringed Barcino, built between the 1st century BCE and the 4th century. It is what gave the city its weight in the late empire, when it came to outdo Tarraco, because it kept the invasions out. Its stretches and towers can be seen today at several points in the Gothic Quarter, built into later houses.
