A hill settlement above the lower Mondego, at the Atlantic end of the Phoenician network, whose occupation and the first work on its wall begin about the 9th and 8th centuries BCE. The Phoenician presence takes hold from the 7th or 6th, when new houses go up and pottery from foreign trade arrives. Its busiest time was the Early Iron Age. What was found there is kept in the Museu Municipal Santos Rocha, in Figueira da Foz.
