The most important excavations in Melilla, in the old garden of the military government building, inside the walls of Melilla la Vieja. The sequence begins in the 7th century BCE, in the Phoenician period, and runs unbroken into the Roman: floors, house walls and grave goods have come out of it. They lie on the thirty-metre limestone crag where the first signs of the settlement are recorded.
