A small walled stronghold of the Early Iron Age, of the 8th to 6th centuries BCE, on a hill above the right bank of the Segura, two and a half kilometres southwest of La Fonteta. Radiocarbon dates from the campaigns of 2013 to 2017 put the first signs of Phoenicians in the estuary at the end of the 9th century BCE. Its fortification served to protect, store and redistribute what the metal trade brought in.
