One of the oldest towers on the coast, from the first half of the 16th century, on an 80-metre hill at the entrance to La Mamola, marking the eastern edge of the Motril military district. Around 1800 a low battery was planned beside it but never built; it keeps its chamber and part of its machicolation, badly worn at the base and the top.
