What remains
Standing

An eleven-metre horseshoe tower by the mouth of the Almanzora, built over an earlier one between 1763 and 1772, under Carlos III; it was a military post and later a Guardia Civil barracks. Restored in the early 1990s, with its exterior open to all, it is a tourist office and exhibition room today.
