A battery for four guns built to a standard design by the engineer José Crame of 1765 and finished in 1771, to stop pirate landings in the bay of La Herradura. It has a horseshoe front to the north, semicircular corner towers and a large semicircular gun platform to the south. The customs guard and then the Guardia Civil held it until 2002; restored between 2007 and 2011, since 2021 it houses the Museo 1562 La Fuerza del Mar, on the wreck of the fleet at La Herradura.
