A conical tower that Fernando VI had built in 1756, between March and November, to protect La Almadraba de Monteleva and its salt pans, in place of an earlier one that had been destroyed. In 1762 it held two keepers, a corporal, four soldiers and a gunner with two guns; it was a Guardia Civil post until 2000 and stands abandoned today, awaiting restoration.
