A coastal tower on Torregarcía beach, in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar natural park, beside an old Roman fish-salting works. Recorded in 1501 and already fallen by 1526, it was rebuilt between 1571 and 1575; in 1502 its guard found the image of the Virgen del Mar, patron of Almería, nearby. Restored between 1987 and 1989, it cannot be entered today because of its poor condition.
