A storehouse inside a square fortification with sentry turrets and gunports, ordered by Felipe III in the early 17th century to hold tithes and collect the Moriscos' rents. The wall, the gateway and eight turrets survive in steady decay, with houses built against them that use the walls as their fronts; the visits that have been announced have never taken place.
