The granite fortress on top of the Cabeza del Zorro hill. Its date depends on the source: the article on the castle places it between the 9th and the 12th century, while the one on the town has it built mostly in the 9th and 10th. The oldest surviving parts are the two Arab cisterns inside, with barrel vaults; the horseshoe-arched gate between two towers now holds the Virgen de la Victoria, and the second enclosure is 15th century.
