The medieval fortress of Gibraltar, buildings, gates and walls dominated by the Tower of Homage. Most of what is visible, the tower included, was rebuilt in the early 14th century, after the Castilian occupation of 1309 to 1333. Part of the castle was Gibraltar's prison until 2010.
