The highest gate of the Albaicín, opened in the wall that enclosed the quarter under Yūsuf I, on the initiative of Riḍwān, according to Ibn al-Jaṭīb. Boabdil came in through it in 1486 to win back his throne. It has been altered many times, most recently after 1886, and it gave its name to Granada's folk pottery.
