Role: Taifa capital and naval power

Under the taifa king Muŷāhid, Dāniya was a naval power that ruled the Balearic Islands and sent fleets against Sardinia; its port traded with Egypt and its scholars were famous for Qurʾanic reading. Jaume I took it in 1244.
