A small Umayyad mosque of the 9th and 10th centuries, built inside the castle over a 6th-century Visigothic basilica, with reused Roman and Visigothic columns and capitals. Turned into a chapel after the conquest, it is the only Andalusi mosque in rural Spain to survive almost intact: it keeps the five-aisled prayer hall, the courtyard partly cut into the rock, the mihrab and the minaret.
