What remains
Standing

What still stands of the wall around Almería, raised by Jayrān, first king of the taifa, between 1012 and 1028, on the Cerro de San Cristóbal beside the Alcazaba. It has seven towers, three square Arab ones and four round Christian ones built for Alfonso VII in 1147, and the Almudaina gate. It is the only stretch of the circuit that has always been in the open.
