Standing

The military wall that rings the old town, raised at the end of the 3rd century BCE and enlarged through the 2nd. It is among the oldest Roman work standing outside Italy. After the Islamic invasion the city emptied little by little, and the wall was not used and repaired again until Ramon Berenguer IV took the town in the 12th century.
