The circus the Concilium provinciae Hispaniae citerioris, the yearly assembly of the province's representatives, pushed through, built at the end of the 1st century beside the provincial forum and inside the walls. It stayed in use until the middle of the 5th century, when the arena and the vaults around it were turned into dwellings as the city shrank back to the upper town.
