The Celtiberian and Roman city on the hill of Cabeza de Griego, which Sextus Julius Frontinus names twice in describing Viriathus's attack, probably in 146 BCE. Pliny tells in his Natural History of the working of lapis specularis, the translucent selenite that window panes were made from and that was long the base of its economy. The site is well preserved and gives a good idea of daily life in an ancient city.
