A middling town, no more than twelve hectares, which numismatics places as a municipium in the time of Caesar. It lived on trade, with a sea port and a river port at once at the mouth of the Ebro. Digs in front of the cathedral uncovered in 2016 more than forty metres of 3rd-century wall and the early imperial square which, with the temple podium found in 2013, put the forum here.
