The only bridge in Córdoba for twenty centuries, 331 metres long with sixteen arches, usually dated to the time of Augustus, when the city took the title Colonia Patricia and grew towards the river. Little of the Roman fabric can be identified with certainty: there are pointed arches and successive rebuildings, the first of them around the year 720. It has been pedestrian since 2004.
