The bridge over the Guadiana, built at the end of the 1st century BCE, which in antiquity crossed the river in two stretches divided by a cutwater. Today it runs 790 metres on sixty arches, three of them hidden until the late 1990s, when work on the riverbanks uncovered them. It is the longest Roman bridge still standing.
