One of the aqueducts that brought water to the capital of Lusitania, of the 1st century and in use for centuries. Of its arcade there still stand tall piers of granite and brick, in alternating courses that give it its striped look, above the valley of the Albarregas. Its name comes from the wonder its remains caused.
