A Phoenician port on the cerro de Montecristo, between Malaca and Carthago Nova, which struck coin with the head of Melqart and a tuna, as Gadir and Sexi did. After some five centuries of decline it entered the Roman world about 207 BCE, as a stipendiary town of the conventus of Gades.
