The town wall, of the 8th century BCE, the most striking thing on the site: two limestone faces with the space between them filled with stone, earth and pottery, trapezoidal in section and eastern in style, probably once rendered and painted white. Stretches about four metres high survive and the whole circuit can be made out, with the stone footings of the houses and the line of the streets inside.
