The island's first lasting Phoenician settlement, on a small peninsula of the south coast used as a natural harbour, and the only site that allows the earliest phase of the colonisation of Ibiza to be studied. It grew past six hectares, of which four survive. It was left entirely at the end of the 7th century BCE, when its people moved to the bay of Ibiza. The south quarter, the best preserved, is the part a visitor sees, behind an iron grille.
