The wall of Wādī Āš, built in the 11th century with the citadel under the Zīrids, using ashlar from the Roman theatre of Acci; a barbican was added along almost its whole length in the 12th century. Its remains can be seen along almost the whole line: the best preserved part is the almazana, and the Torreón del Ferro and the San Torcuato gate survive.
