The minaret of a Córdoba mosque which, according to a plaque in the Archaeological Museum, the qadi ʿUmar ibn Hadabas built under ʿAbd al-Raḥmān II; the tower is dated between the mid 9th and the early 10th century. After 1236 it became part of the church of San Juan de los Caballeros. It keeps its Islamic fabric, though Félix Hernández altered the second stage and rebuilt the top after 1927.
