The old Sea Gate, which opened onto the harbour of the medieval town. The masonry of its inner face and the setting of its voussoirs place it in the Almohad period, in the 12th century, though the date of the Cádiz walls is disputed and other sources credit them to Alfonso X. Since the 17th century it has been a passage beneath the Pópulo chapel.
