The fortress of La Villeta, on a limestone crag: its first phases date from the 9th and 10th centuries, the Almohads built its main enclosure in the 12th, with an outer ward, a keep, towers and a cistern, and the Naṣrids reworked it and walled the hamlet on the north slope. A hotel was built on top between 1989 and 1991; the Naṣrid wall on the slope is in poor condition.
