Standing

The citadel of Andalusi Seville, begun in the 10th century, enlarged by the Abbadids and rebuilt by the Almohads in the 12th. Stretches of wall dated to around 1090 and Almohad remains survive among the Mudéjar and Gothic palaces built after 1248. It is still a royal residence and is open to visitors.
