An Andalusi castle of three enclosures at the top of Íllora: the first two are dated before the Naṣrids, possibly to the taifa period, and the rubble reinforcements and the wall of the third enclosure are Naṣrid, of the mid 14th century. A network of watchtowers, such as those of Brácana, La Mesa and La Gallina, linked it with Montefrío and Moclín.
